Welcome to the first edition of Mettrum Originals Smoothie Sunday! We’re ramping up for another long work week and what better way is there to enjoy your last few hours of solitude than by relaxing while sipping on a yummy smoothie?
Inspired by the top 10 most pinned smoothies we thought we would make our own renditions using Mettrum Originals products. Today we’ve made the “Hearty Fruit & Oat Smoothie”. We’re going to show you two easy ways to incorporate our products and boost the nutritional value of this recipe.
The recipe for this smoothie calls for almonds. We love almonds, but we don’t find they blend as finely as we like, so we have substituted them for our Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds.
Turn this smoothie into a protein shake by adding 1 (30g) scoop of Mettrum Originals Protein & Fibre Powder. It’s already packed with nutrients so it is perfect for a meal replacement or to whip up after the gym.
- 1 cup strawberries, diced
- 1 banana, sliced
- ¼ cup Mettrum Originals Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds
- ¼ cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Sprinkle a few extra hemp seeds on top.
