This delectable strawberry hemp seed jam is a delicious alternative to the regular sugar and preservative-packed store bought brands. We suggest making the jam a night in advance so it has time to properly thicken.
We’ve used tasty strawberries today, but this recipe works with any frozen fruit you desire! The sweetness of the fruit adds the sugary taste we crave without having to add any refined sugars.
2 cups frozen fruit, we’ve used strawberries
2 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. Mettrum Originals™ Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds
2 tbsp. chia seeds
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Stir frozen strawberries and maple syrup in a medium saucepan over medium heat for approximately 15 minutes.
Bring liquid to a boil, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes while the strawberry jam begins to thicken.
Add vanilla, hemp and chia seeds and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
Let jam sit overnight in the fridge while it thickens.
